Zach Gold is a photographer and film maker living in Los Angeles. He received a BFA from Parsons School of Design and shortly after was selected by the New York Art Directors Club as one of top 100 artists working in New York. His work atthat time explored the new realms of digital photo manipulation and compositing made possible by advances in computer processing speeds and innovations in imaging software. Callinghim “one of the leaders in creative imaging making” the International Center of Photography named Zach the young Photographer of the Year. The following year his work was included in the exhibition at New York Fashion week titled ‘10 Photographers Changing Photography’.
His photographs and short films have been shown at the Brooklyn Museum, Moca Museum Los Angeles, Pompidou Center, Rotterdam Film Festival, and is included in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. Zach joined forces with curator Lisa Small to create the ‘Killer Heels’ exhibition for the Brooklyn Museum. The New York Times call edit “the most gorgeous and meticulously organized show mounted by the Brooklyn Museum in years”. The show included shoes from Chanel, Ferragamo, Iris Van Herpen, Alexander McQueen, Louboutin and Prada as well as films from the leading image makers in fashion.
Zach has collaborated with and created campaigns for: David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Iris Van Herpen, Drake, Taylor Swift, Jack White, John Malkovitch, GQ, Vogue Brasil, Issey Miyake, Ermenegildo Zegna, Coke, Nike, David Beckham, Mini Cooper, Hennessy, Converse and Puma.
