BIOGRAPHY
Fabrizio Ferri, born in Rome in 1952, is an internationally acclaimed photographer, writer and philanthropist. He began his career as a photojournalist at the age of 17, documenting Italian political and social life. In 1974 he moved to London and then New York, where he began a career as a fashion photographer. He has since become one of the most influential names in the industry, working with magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle and Vanity Fair.
Celebrated for his sophisticated yet authentic style, he has immortalised the icons of our time, including Isabella Rossellini, Naomi Watts, Madonna, Monica Bellucci, Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron and Beyoncé. He has also designed campaigns for prestigious brands such as Bulgari, Gucci, Ferrari, Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino. Ferri is also a director: in 2022 he directed Portrait of the Queen, which was presented at the Rome Film Festival and distributed in more than a thousand cinemas worldwide.
A visionary entrepreneur, he founded Industria Superstudio in Milan in 1983 and in New York in 1991, multifunctional photographic complexes that revolutionised the industry.
Ferri has made a significant contribution to philanthropy, notably with Stop Think Give, a charity campaign in partnership with Bulgari and Save the Children that has raised over $10 million for education in the poorest countries.
